Ariat was founded in 1993 with a goal of creating high-performance footwear and apparel for riders and other hardworking people. The brand takes its name from Secretariat, one of racing's most celebrated horses, and has developed a broad collection that combines Western heritage with modern performance technologies. Today, Ariat is closely associated with Western boots and cowboy boots for men, women and kids. Its footwear range includes traditional Western silhouettes, work boots, riding boots, casual shoes and performance styles. Technologies such as ATS and Duratread are incorporated into selected footwear to provide stability, cushioning and durable traction.
